The above graphs show the problem in the US and the solution in China in terms of total deaths. The Chinese have “flattened the curve”. The process involved extensive testing, enforced quarantine, and vast public support of social distancing. You can see the results in the graph on the left. Things slowly began improving in China at about day 25. Now look at the graph on the right for the US. Looking at day 24 on the graph for the US shows no evidence of a turn for the better. There is no “flattening”. That, is a problem.
